A Date for your Diary

We have just announced that our hugely popular Langcliffe Teas annual fundraiser will be on Sunday 29 June 2025.  One of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the charity, the event runs from 2pm at Langcliffe Village Hall.

Penny Hunt, co-Founder of Craven Wildlife Rescue, says: “Each year we take more and more injured animals in, care for them and return them to the wild.  Most of the animals we rescue are red and amber listed like, for example, the hedgehog which is now facing extinction in the UK.  We need everyone’s help if we are to continue this work.  So come and join us, eat cake, drink tea and find out more about what we do.”

As well as lots of tea and cake, you can meet our team, learn more about our work and browse stalls selling a wonderful range of locally-produced items.

Our aims are rescue, conservation and education.  Currently housed in temporary accommodation in Horton in Ribblesdale, our team of 30 volunteers keep the Rescue running on a day-to-day basis and care for the animals’ short- and medium-term health to ready them for release when they are well enough. Any animal coming to CWR for rehabilitation gets returned to its home territory, where possible. The changing climate and CWR’s growing reputation has meant we have had an extremely year and we are currently looking for more space and a permanent home in which to grow.  Langcliffe Teas is one of our most important fundraising events, so please come and support us on 29th June.
