How You Can Help

Craven Wildlife Rescue is funded entirely by kind donations - whether it's from our individual donors or from grant-givers like the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust. We welcome and truly appreciate all types of support - whether you want to give us the kind of items we need everyday to keep the Rescue running, or would prefer to donate some money instead. Below is a list of the items that we need, or you can also click here to make a financial donation. We thank you so much for any support you can give us.

Day-to-day items

  • We do have an Amazon wish list, which shows you some of the things we use pretty much every day. The list is here. Don't feel obliged to use Amazon, though, other retailers are available :-) Remember that, as we are in temporary accommodation at the moment, we can't accept deliveries at our building in Horton. So, if you are sending things by mail order, the best address to use is 1 New Street, Langcliffe, Settle BD24 9NH.

  • If you are based in the Settle area, SHOP LOCAL! Gareth, the owner of Field and Home in Settle, a long-time supporter of ours, is on the case with his stock of Brambles and Spikes, and some great prices. We wish Gareth and his family huge success in this wonderful local business. There is now a box in the shop where you can leave items for us and there is also another food collection point at the Co-op in Settle.

Items you can donate

We collect a range of items to raise funds for our work. This includes:

  • used printer cartridges (unfortunately we cannot accept laser pint cartridges, only the small HP type ones). Drop them to our collections points , Places where you can pop your old ink jet cartridges include: Slaidburn Village Store; Cross Leigh Stores, Austwick; The Maypole Hotel and the Post Office in Long Preston; and, in Settle, Ashfield DIY Store, Settle Swimming Pool, the Co-op, and Booths Supermarket.

  • and, at our collection points at Long Preston Post Office, Co-op Settle and Settle Swimming Pool:

    • Stamps - used and unused (loose, single stamps, first day covers and presentation packs)

    • Mobile phones, cameras and gadgets (old film and digital cameras, video cameras, satnavs, games consoles, games and accessories, iPads, MP3 players, tablet computers)

    • Coins and currency (UK and foreign, any age, including unchangeable)

    • Jewellery (costume jewellery, gold and silver, watches, unwanted, damaged or intact)

So please do bear us in mind when you are having a clear-out!

Thanks again to all our donors, whatever you are giving and whatever the amount. We love you and couldn't do what we do, without your support.
